Heardle turned "name that song" into a daily ritual: one song a day, starting from the first second of its intro, with more of the song unlocked after every wrong guess or skip. It launched in February 2022, Spotify bought it that July, and Spotify shut the original game down on 5 May 2023. A lot of people still miss that moment of recognising a song from the first notes and sharing the result.
FlipList Daily is our take on that habit. It is free, runs in your browser and needs no account.
